* Rivers said Shaq came into his office after Wednesday's win over the Pistons and apologized for missing two free throws when Detroit employed the 'Hack-a-Shaq' defense nursing a four point lead with three minutes to go. "The horse is out of the barn on that one," joked Rivers. "I don't even worry about it. Shaq last night after the game said, 'Coach, I let you down, I missed two free throws.' Fret not. We, the devout fans of the Boston Celtics, take note of your effort and rejoice in the energy that you bring to this team, which you so gallantly exhibit on the court and in the media. Without you, this team would never be 32-9. Everyone can talk the talk about accepting their role on a team, but not everybody can walk the walk. You do more than walk the walk. You redefine the walk everyday... And for that, we are all extremely grateful, and excited to watch the rest of the season unfold.
